Purchase a Memorial Tree for a Loved one no longer with us. Allowing their Legacy to live on through a fruit or nut tree in a Food Forest designed to bring nourishment to others and life back to our Earth! Your loved one will be remembered with a fruit or nut tree* of your choice, featuring a Memorial Plaque at the base of the tree. We will add a photo of your loved one with photos of their tree(s) on our website’s Memorial Page, updating the tree photos over the years. This will give them a LIVING MEMORIAL while paying it forward through its fruits and life sustaining qualities. It also gives you a place to visit in their memory, as you will always be welcomed at Sharewood Food Forest. A Memorial Tree Certificate will be sent through the mail to keep for your memories! Once you purchase, you will receive an email to collect Memorial Photos and shared information. *USDA Zone 7
Sharewood Food Forest wishes to be 100% transparent. You may ask why we are asking you to pay $300 for a tree that you do not physically get sent to you. We are here to explain just that and you can message us with any other questions you may have! So our number 1 concern with this project is GROWING a FOOD FOREST for the PEOPLE, and well Trees take a LONG TIME! We can cut into some of that time by buying older trees from the nursery, we haven’t yet secured any deals with any nursery’s to get any bulk discounts. So I ask you to just do a quick google, find a nursery that sells fruit trees, and look for the older 5-6/6-7ft. trees. The price range is generally between $100-200 for the tree alone, then we plant the tree by hand, we maintain that tree for it’s life, we provide a plaque for the tree in your honor, and we send you a very nice certificate to celebrate your Memorial or Dedicated tree. As you can see, we aren’t making much money off of this, but the Food Forest is benefitting, and that’s what we are here for! For those who want to just buy a tree for the food forest, we have a cheaper, $150.00 purchase/adoption without any of the bells and whistles.
