A Dedication fruit or nut Tree of your choice* in Sharewood Food Forest, that will in turn feed others and bring mother nature joy, is the perfect gift to cover those special occasions and people. A gift that will Honor them year after year, a place they can visit anytime, not the kind of gift that will be tossed in the corner and forgotten about! Just imagine taking a family trip to visit your tree in the future, rehashing those memories while enjoying its fruit! A Dedication plaque will be placed at the base of their tree and a Certificate will be mailed as a keepsake. We will also have a special Dedication page on our website, with info and photos of your special someone and their tree. Sharewood Food Forest wishes to be 100% transparent. You may ask why we are asking you to pay $300 for a tree that you do not physically get sent to you. We are here to explain just that and you can message us with any other questions you may have! So our number 1 concern with this project is GROWING a FOOD FOREST for the PEOPLE, and well Trees take a LONG TIME! We can cut into some of that time by buying older trees from the nursery, we haven’t yet secured any deals with any nursery’s to get any bulk discounts. So I ask you to just do a quick google, find a nursery that sells fruit trees, and look for the older 5-6/6-7 ft trees. The price range is generally between $100-200 for the tree alone, then we plant the tree by hand, we maintain that tree for its life, we provide a plaque for the tree in your honor, and we send you a very nice certificate to celebrate your Memorial or Dedicated tree. As you can see, we aren’t making much money off of this, but the Food Forest is benefitting, and that’s what we are here for! For those who want to just buy a tree for the food forest, we have a cheaper, $150.00 purchase/adoption without any of the bells and whistles.
